About SS
A neighbor with a grinder.
SS.CO Stump Grinding started the way most good local businesses do: a guy, a truck, and a phone that actually gets answered. Based in Marshall, working the same six counties we've lived in our whole lives.
Born and raised in southwest Minnesota. We know the soil, the trees, and the seasons.
The guy who quotes the job is the guy who does the job. No middlemen.
Fair pricing, clean work, and we don't leave until you're happy.
The story
Why we do this.
After years of watching folks around Marshall wait weeks for the big out-of-town tree services to call them back, we figured someone local should pick up the phone. So we did.
We invested in commercial-grade grinders, got fully insured, and started knocking out stumps for friends, family, and farms. Word got around. Now we work across southwest Minnesota and beyond, and most of our work comes from neighbors recommending us.
If you call, we'll answer. If we say we'll be there Thursday, we're there Thursday.
Got a stump? We'll grind it.
Free quotes. Same-week service.
One stump or one hundred — call or text for a free quote over the phone, or we'll come out on-site, usually within 24 hours.
